A team that was tired, not in crisis.

Fieldwork Studio grew from 12 to 45 people in four years. The work was good and the deadlines were real. By the end of 2025, Daniel could see the signs: longer evenings, shorter tempers and two people who had quietly taken sick leave in the same month.

“Nobody was in crisis,” he says. “People were tired, and nobody knew where to take it. The helpline felt like something you call when it’s already too late.”

The providers Daniel spoke to wanted a two-year contract, a minimum of 250 seats and a project plan. Fieldwork Studio has no HR department. It has Daniel and an office manager.

Live in an afternoon.

Daniel booked a demo on a Monday and signed up on the Wednesday. That afternoon he sent the invite link in the studio’s chat with a short note about why he was doing it. There was nothing to install and nothing to connect.

“The first week, eleven people booked something. I didn’t know who, and I didn’t need to.”

Daniel A., Founder

Most people started with coaching: 20 minutes on sleep, on workload or on a difficult client. A few went straight to therapy. Daniel used it too, and said so at the Friday lunch.

What changed.

  • 71% of the team started in the first month, and 26 people used Abble in October.

  • All six team leads did the lunch-hour manager training in the first quarter.

  • The monthly report showed sleep as the top topic, so the studio stopped late reviews after 6 pm.

  • Sick leave for stress fell from four cases in 2025 to one so far in 2026.

“The report is one page and I read it in two minutes,” Daniel says. “It doesn’t tell me who. It tells me whether this helps. It does.”
